Our History
Our agency has been serving Gallia County and the surrounding area since 1950. Our Grandfather, Waldo Brown, started his agency in downtown Gallipolis. When he retired in 1964, our father, WR “Dick” Brown took over the agency and was the driving force until he retired in 1998.
Today, the third generation of Brown’s continue the tradition with Dan & Doug Brown.
There have been many changes over the years, but the Brown Insurance Agency is dedicated to serving our clients with all their insurance needs as well as being involved in the community.
Dan is also a 3rd generation fair board member continuing the family tradition of promoting 4H and other agricultural interests for Gallia County. Doug is in Nationwide’s Hall of Fame agent for his efforts serving the farming community.
